string (n.) — a thread that ties two things together.

The dating app that makes money when you go on a real date.

String ties matches to confirmed dates at Chicago's best venues. No subscriptions, no endless swiping — the app's only job is to get you across the table from someone.

The idea

Matches only matter if they become dates.

Capped at 10

Active matches are limited to ten at a time. Every connection has your attention, because none of them are filler in an endless deck.

14 days, then gone

Each match expires in fourteen days. A match isn't something to collect and forget — it's something to act on while it's live.

A confirmed venue

The moment two people connect, String drives the pair toward a real date at a partner venue near you both. We handle the where and when.

The model

We earn when you walk through the door.

Our revenue comes from venue partnerships — not subscriptions. We don't profit from keeping you swiping; we profit when your match becomes a table for two at one of our partner restaurants, bars, and cafés. Our incentives and your love life finally point the same direction.
